Connect

In a client that supports remote MCP over Streamable HTTP, add a server with this URL:

https://toolnav.ai/api/mcp

If your client supports a JSON configuration with mcpServers and url, use:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "toolnav": {
      "url": "https://toolnav.ai/api/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Configuration fields differ by client. Choose Streamable HTTP when asked for a transport; this service does not use the legacy SSE transport. No authorization header is needed.

Try asking

  • “Search ToolNav for video tools and include links to the listings.”
  • “Which tool categories are available? Search the coding category.”
  • “Get the details and FAQs for a tool from the search results.”

Available tools

search_tools

Search names, descriptions and tags. Optional inputs: query (up to 100 characters), category (a slug from list_categories), page (default 1) and page_size (default 10, maximum 20). Omit the query to browse.

Returns listings, total count and pagination information. Each listing includes a name, description, pricing label, category, tags, official website URL and ToolNav source URL.

get_tool

Provide the exact slug from a search result. Set language to en or zh for FAQ language preference; English is the default. If Chinese FAQs are unavailable, the existing FAQs are returned. Unavailable listings return found: false.

list_categories

List categories used by published tools. Pass a returned slug to search_tools.category. Supports page and page_size (default 50, maximum 100).

Limits and data quality

Only published directory information is available. This integration cannot submit tools, access accounts, take payments or change data.

Requests are limited to 60 per minute per IP at the edge, with additional per-instance burst protection. On HTTP 429, wait for the Retry-After interval before trying again. Request bodies are limited to 16 KiB.

Search uses keyword matching. Featured listings may appear first; result order is not a quality rating. Descriptions and FAQs are third-party reference data. Prices and features may change, so verify them on the product's official website.
