AI Voiceover: Script, Pronunciation and Final Audio Review

Spoken script

Turn written copy into short spoken sentences. Move long parenthetical explanations into a separate line and write numbers as they should be heard. Read aloud before synthesis. Fluent pronunciation cannot rescue a sentence whose meaning is difficult for listeners to follow.

Pronunciation sheet

List brand names, abbreviations and technical terms with approved readings. Test these in a small sample before generating the whole script. Keep the sheet with the project so later updates remain consistent. A new voice may pronounce the same name differently.

Voice permissions

Review the current terms for the intended publication. If a real person is involved, document permission and its scope. Possessing a sample is not evidence of permission to reuse it. Check the provider terms before a commercial release rather than relying on a remembered plan description.

Small sections

Generate at natural paragraph boundaries with some silence at the edges. Name files by script position and listen to every export. This makes one mispronounced sentence easier to replace. Keep the approved text linked to the audio version so an old section is not accidentally used.

Mix and captions

Lower music beneath speech and listen on headphones and a small speaker. Check abrupt edits and clipping. Build captions from the final approved audio, then correct names, numbers and timing. A late narration edit must also update translated subtitle tracks.

Delivery package

Deliver clean narration, mixed audio, captions, pronunciation notes and permissions together. Retain the generation date and review notes. Explore ElevenLabs as one possible workflow, but evaluate your exported sample and the current terms before choosing it for a real campaign.

Acceptance checklist

Before publication, verify the intended audience, factual accuracy, asset permissions, final export and destination link. Assign one reviewer and record unresolved issues. An attractive preview is not enough: review the exact file or page users will receive, including its behavior on a smaller screen.

Version and next step

Save the brief, approved assets and review notes under a clear version name. Keep rejected drafts separate. When requirements change, update the source and repeat the affected checks instead of editing only the published copy.
